Successful outfitter for over 35 years…
Thanks to great guides, first-class hunting, and a camp-culture that is contagious, Double K has become one of the top outfitters in the U.S. With private ground in South Dakota & Nebraska and access to Rosebud Sioux tribal land, there is never a shortage of game and you have plenty of license options.
There are many outfitters in South Dakota but few have our experience, knowledge, license options, and wealth of wildlife. It is our goal to give you the type of hunt that is well worth your time and money. Thousands of hunters have tested Double K’s services and a large majority of them have returned for many years.” Chris Keiser, Owner | 515-991-5185
South Dakota Pheasant Hunting
If you’re looking for the perfect group hunt, a SD pheasant hunt is it. With this trip you can have up to 20 hunters in your group, you will all hunt together, and there will be plenty of free time for socializing and discussing the day’s hits and misses.
South Dakota Deer
We offer both whitetail and mule deer hunts in Gregory & Tripp counties. Our rifle and muzzleloader hunts are for both whitetail and mule deer, but our bowhunts are primarily for whitetails. Gregory County is arguably the best spot in South Dakota to hunt deer and the 2012 season was one of our best. We also do tribal deer hunts and they are also located in Gregory & Tripp counties.
South Dakota Turkey
The Merriam turkey population in south-central SD is at record levels. We offer both shotgun and archery turkey hunts in the Spring and our success rate is near 100% every year. The Merriam is very vocal in the Spring and we often hear that they are the funnest sub-species to hunt. If you like to hunt turkeys, you will definitely enjoy calling in and harvesting a South Dakota Merriam.
South Dakota Antelope
We take a very limited number of antelope hunters every year and all of these hunts take place on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation. You always need a registered tribal guide on Indian land and we have three of the best on staff.
Prairie Dog Hunting
The popularity of prairie dog hunting has exploded over the last couple years. If you REALLY like to burn through the rounds, this is the hunt for you. South Dakota has one of the highest populations of prairie dogs and you will shoot 300-500 rounds on an average day. All shooting benches, bags, transportation (if needed), meals, lodging, and guides are provided. Just bring your rifles and plenty of ammunition!
Double K offers whitetail, mule deer, and Merriam turkey hunts in Nebraska. Nebraska is only 15 miles from us and this gives you the opportunity to draw NE tags if you do not draw in SD, or, to add another hunt along with your South Dakota trip.
